Recommendation

NoFatCat has recommended a blog to me and I want to pass it along to those who want to get the "real news" from Iraq. Journalist Michael Yon is embedded with a group called "Deuce Four" in Northern Iraq. I will warn you that it is lengthy but worth the read.
